DESCRIPTION

Linqo is looking for a  Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our talented SW team.

We provide fleet management solutions based on GPS tracking and real-time vehicle monitoring and control. We develop and manufacture full solution and provide it along with in-depth knowledge and support.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with Software Engineering and SW teams internally and 3rd party Service Providers to build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, troubleshoot, and resolving issues in development and production environments. This position also provides in-depth technical research for change, maintenance, and enhancement to existing solutions as well as the implementation of new solutions.

 

YOUR KEY ROLES WILL BE

  • Ensure that servers, virtual machines, containers, and tooling are up and running
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in our infrastructure and build solutions to implement them
  • Optimize and automate time-consuming and manual, repetitive tasks
  • Make sure we have proper visibility of our services, platforms, systems, and endpoints via the monitoring stack
  • Take decisions and have a strong ownership
  • 3rd party Service Providers technical supervision (datacentre collocation, hardware, and network professional maintenance services)

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) knowledge
  • Experience with Linux scripting, ability to write and read Bash and Python
  • Experience with various databases and messaging brokers technologies
  • Knowledge about datacentre hardware – servers, storage, network units, and their co-existence
  • Knowledge about automation and configuration management tools (Ansible and/or Chef, Hashicorp stack would be a great advantage)
  • Have extensive experience in building, maintaining infrastructure systems, preferably in a cloud-based environment (OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • OpenStack experience would be an advantage
  • Continuous learning mindset to be on top of the latest technologies and share the knowledge with the team
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
