Before partnering with Linqo, Žemaitijos pienas relied on another GPS provider. However, the company sought greater accuracy, reliability, and comprehensive solutions to manage its large and varied fleet.

They needed a robust system for tracking vehicles and routes, as well as advanced telematics tools to analyze driver behavior and optimize fuel consumption. Beginning their partnership in 2014, Žemaitijos pienas now monitors over 300 vehicles through the LinqoTrack platform, ranging from cars to milk tankers and trucks.

Additionally, Žemaitijos pienas benefits from Linqo’s tachograph management tools and onboard computer data insights. To ensure optimal conditions for transporting dairy products, Linqo installed Bluetooth temperature sensors in 2020, enabling real-time temperature monitoring.

Eco-Drive: beyond monitoring

Žemaitijos pienas was among the first companies to adopt Eco-Drive, an innovative tool essential for boosting driver efficiency and ensuring safety.

The company organizes both internal and external eco-driving training sessions, dedicating financial and human resources to familiarize drivers with the latest Eco-Drive features. Today, over 220 drivers actively track their eco-driving scores, with top performers receiving motivational rewards such as gift cards and partner discounts.

• Improved driver skills. Motivational programs encourage driver engagement and development. Features such as speeding alerts help reduce risks for drivers, cargo, and vehicles while optimizing processes and cutting fuel consumption.
• Fuel savings. According to Marius Dromantas, Logistics Director of Žemaitijos pienas, “Eco-Drive contributes to the annual 3-4% fuel savings alongside fleet modernization and improved fuel quality.”
• Product quality assurance. Accurate temperature monitoring ensures dairy products are transported under ideal conditions.
• Time efficiency. Tachograph management and digitalization reduce administrative and manual workloads, saving both financial and human resources.
