Meet Chris: cheese city – Gouda – native, entrepreneur at heart. Starting as an intern at Linqo in 2021, he quickly rose to become a Sales Manager, finding motivation in challenges and great colleagues. Chris begins his day with coffee or tea and football news – sure, no better start to the workday! Off-hours, he’s all about volleyball, gaming, and action flicks. His golden advice for telematics beginners is to learn from the people around you. And we each definitely have something to learn from Chris. Find his full story here:

Tell us more about yourself, your background and what led you to your current position.

I’m Chris from Gouda in the Netherlands — yes, the city known for its cheese! I’m studying entrepreneurship, and it’s really fueled my passion for effective sales and building solid relationships. Focusing on this has naturally led me to my current job, where I can use these skills daily.

When and why did you join Linqo team?

I started with Linqo as an intern back in May 2021. Just four months later, I was brought on board as a Sales Manager — it was a great jumpstart!

How does your journey at Linqo looks like?

My time at Linqo has been quite the adventure — it’s been a challenging ride, but one filled with different levels of success and learning.

How do you start your day?

What better way to start the day than with a fresh cup of coffee or tea, browsing through the latest football news? That’s how I get my mornings rolling.

What motivates you to go to work every day?

The challenges of my position and my nice teammates make the ideal mix for motivation.

What are your job’s most challenging elements?

The toughest part of my job is definitely staying a step ahead of the competition and negotiating with customers. It’s a real test, but it keeps things interesting.

Tell us more about your hobbies.

I love staying active in my free time. Playing volleyball, gaming, and watching action-packed movies are my go-to hobbies.

What is your favorite place in the world? Why?

My favorite place has to be home, where I’m surrounded by friends and family. But if we’re talking vacation, then Greece takes the top spot.

And the last one – could you share any advice for those who want to start their career in the telematics industry?

Learn from the people around you to become the best version of yourself. It’s all about continuous learning.
