Olimpia is a Polish transport company specializing in freight routes to the United Kingdom and Scandinavia, with a fleet of 16 vehicles.

Around two years ago, Olimpia implemented the LinqoTrack system. Prior to that, the company had been using a different telematics platform. However, after the previous provider underwent an ownership change, the system stopped evolving – no updates, no improvements, and certainly no adjustments to meet client expectations. Essential features were missing, including geofencing and detailed reporting, while overall system stability left much to be desired. That’s when Olimpia decided it was time to look for a better solution.

The first meeting between Olimpia’s leadership and a Ruptela sales representative took place several months before LinqoTrack was ultimately adopted. Since then, the account manager has remained in close contact with the team, gradually introducing the full scope of LinqoTrack’s capabilities. One of the key features that convinced Olimpia to switch was remote tachograph and driver card download – a function that is often sold as an add-on by other providers. Because value for money was a critical factor in their decision-making process, the choice was clear.

Another must-have for Olimpia was the ability to generate detailed reports – not only on trip progress but also the stability of data transmission, especially when vehicles are traveling via ferry.

Once the decision was made to switch to Linqo, system implementation was planned with minimal disruption. Thanks to mobile connectivity, installations were carried out while vehicles remained in service – eliminating any operational downtime. The Ruptela team coordinated installation visits on Monday mornings, just before the vehicles hit the road. This ensured that driver schedules weren’t affected and fleet availability remained intact.

Since the implementation of LinqoTrack, several key features have proven particularly valuable for Olimpia. These include the automated weekly download of tachograph and driver card data, real-time vehicle tracking, historical route and event review, comprehensive trip reports, and fuel level monitoring. What’s more, LinqoTrack was successfully integrated with 4Trans – the transport management system already used at Olimpia – allowing for near-complete automation of travel expense calculations. The two systems work seamlessly together: data gathered by LinqoTrack is easily exported and processed within 4Trans, significantly improving cost control and fleet expense oversight.

Despite switching to a completely different user interface, Olimpia’s staff quickly adapted to LinqoTrack. Throughout the entire usage period, only a few support requests were needed – mostly related to suggestions for additional features and improvements.

Currently, Olimpia drivers do not use the mobile app linked to LinqoTrack. Since they operate on fixed and familiar routes, the manager doesn’t rely on route planning or task assignment tools. Nevertheless, LinqoTrack has brought tangible benefits by simplifying internal accounting and automating many administrative processes – especially thanks to automatic tachograph data collection and export archiving.
