UNLIMITED Compact delivers up to 12,000 shipments a day and looks after a micro-fleet with more than 3,200 e-scooters – it’s easy to lose track of things. “Linqo is great for documenting itineraries for our customers,” says Operations Manager Burak Pinarbasi. Location and route documentation for last-mile service
UNLIMITED Compact has been on the market for five years, with around 140 employees, 75 vehicles, and 7 locations in North Rhine-Westphalia. The extensive range of services includes a last-mile service, express logistics, and the micro-mobility service for VOI. UNLIMITED is responsible for the entire Cologne and Bonn area. The employees check and maintain the VOI e-scooters on-site, collect defective ones, and exchange empty batteries for full ones previously charged in UNLIMITED’ fire-safe warehouse.
UNLIMITED employees complete around 60 tours every day. To do this, UNLIMITED uses both vans and cars – some with permanently installed Linqo devices and some with mobile ones that can be easily connected via the OBD connector. Rental vehicles can also be integrated at short notice at any time. With the last-mile service for Hermes, Amazon, and other parcel service providers, Burak Pinarbasi can rely on the data from the Linqo app when documenting the tour: “The Linqo app really has everything you need. Every kilometer driven for every vehicle, when it was switched on and switched off again. That’s great.”
Special functions – the extra benefit from Linqo
According to Burak Pinarbasi, GPS tracking offers other advantages, for example, when using fuel cards. Drivers could cheat here. However, the Linqo system sends a snapshot of the vehicle’s position each time a fuel card is used. This makes it easy to check whether the right vehicle was actually at the gas station. The positioning of the Linqo devices is very accurate and reliable. “For me, this also has safety-relevant aspects, for example, in the event of an accident or a driver’s health emergency,” explains Pinarbasi. Another benefit for him is the remote immobilizer through the Linqo app. It can be used to block vehicles that are not used for delivery tours at the weekend.
